Absolutely love The Mattara. I am a regular patron (at least twice a month) for both lunch and dinner and the reason for this is the excellent and friendly service I always receive from the dedicated staff. Menu has something for everyone and I've never left there feeling hungry. In fact there's so much left, a doggy bag is always provided. I can highly recommend the Mattara as a family friendly hotel with delicious food and professional bar and food service. 10/10

We have eaten here before and tonight we celebrated my birthday. The summer menu was a treat and I am looking forward to the winter menu. Great service, reasonably priced, good ambience and a little bit posh. We will certainly be back.

I hope they pay their waitstaff well. Seemed understaffed and the service staff were run off their feet. Food was fantastic and arrived quite quickly.

20250416 9:00am We reluctantly bid farewell to the central coast of Sydney and sped all the way to Newcastle City. This Newcastle passed by when we traveled around the East Coast in 2022. The wind and waves were so high that day that I almost blew me into the sea. Although I didn’t stay too much, it left a deep impression on me. Its windy scenery made me miss it. I often want to have the opportunity to see it again. This time I finally had time to arrange the trip. This patronage really followed my wish, the afternoon sun and bright, the indispensable sea breeze is still blowing but a lot weak, along the passage to the navigational tower is shining with gold, the right hand is the endless golden sand dunes, and various piles of large stones, The stones were inscribed with words and patterns, some even had biblical stories, and beautiful vegetation blooming yellow and purple flowers, which made people love. We walked back and forth, sighing again at the beautiful scenery, and after a little rest, we bid farewell to the beautiful and rich city, and the next stop is the red wine region of Xinzhou. Location of Newcastle: On the east coast of New South Wales, Australia, it is located at the mouth of the Hunter River, about 162 kilometers north east from Sydney, with intercity trains directly.
